I have been thinking about this strategy for a couple months now, I just recently tested it out (it went VERY WELL) here is how it goes:

Requirements:
1 Intervention Pilot with [at least] 400k Xp
1 Intervention Pilot with less than 400k Xp
1 repair class
Optional:
1 Cerberus (pimped)
1 Strike Force (pimped as well)
2 Cleaning Forces (also Pimped)
2 Cyborgs (you get the idea)

The Strategy:
Step #1: have the Intervention Pilot with the most Xp (now named IP #1) go into titan
Step #2: have the repair class join IP #1 in Titan
Step #3: Have the Intervention Pilot with the lowest Xp (now named IP #2) go into transport
Step #4: IP #2's transport should be filled with IP #1's minis (optional: have the Cerberus or Strike force have turret)
Step #5: (optional) Have the Cyborgs synchronize to the transport or titan and have the rest of the optional heroes (listed in "Optional") get in titan/transprt MAKE SURE THEY HAVE AT LEAST 40 SPARE CLIPS
Step #6: Have IP #1 use the titan's "object control" on IP #2's transport
Step #7: enjoy the "Flying Tank*" that has turret and minis inside attacking

*Null_signature was the first one to give the strategy this term

Maybe you should list the cons for your strategy:

Your Line-Up is missing someone who's running around to collect Clips which he can drop at the Titan or a specific point on the map.
And as far as I can see, except for the IP in the Titan... you have to do absolutely nothing. Just aiming a few abilities and auto-shooting is not much of a strategy.

All of which are big cons in my book.^^

its more of a survival strategy for when there is not enough room for everybody in just 1 transport, but as you said there are some big cons, but yesterday me and null did this strategy (NC and no DPS classes) on homeless, it worked pretty well,until every man for himself bugged and stopped sending civs

EDIT: by "pretty well" i mean we saw the NPCs before they saw us
