Unit production can't be cancelled to prevent abuse. In games like this attacking people for resources is a huge part of it. If you could just pour all of your resources into units, wait for the attack to hit, and then cancel all the unit production...well, lets just say it would be ridiculously abuse-able.

Also, yes energy can go negative(in red), but you don't get any benefit out of it. For example, if all of your mines require 5000 energy to produce the maximum amount of resources that they can, then you need 5000 energy to do so. If you have 3000, then your mines won't operate at 100%, thus leveling them up further is pointless unless you have positive energy.

when a structure is in the list w8ing to get constructed it doesnt say how much time it needs. remove means that u can remove it from the list and so put another structure in its place.



how can u build outpost? when u look at 2d map what does the choices mipper and phalanx(get in the outpost) do?cause i used them and a page appeared where u could do nothing.....................

If you're Human... send a few Engineers. Then you can select "Colonize" as a mission.
No clue how the other Races handle it.

On each of your planets you can have a "moon" orbiting it. These have a certain percent chance (1% per 100k debris) to form after every battle that takes place on your planet. On these moons, you can build "outposts". Which basically turns the moon into a pretty dang useful place to hide/launch your fleet.

A colony is an entirely different planet. You can build all the same buildings as your other base; it is the exact same thing as your regular base. It's usually bigger though (thankfully), and will have a different temperature/distance from sun (which affects deuterium production/solar satts effective-ness).

There is a huge difference between the two of them. I'm not sure what JK is going to do to explain how an outpost is formed in this game though..unless we're playing an interstellar space zombie game Shocked

Simple: after fighting Zombies/Cybirgs/Whatever, there is a chance that all the explosions create a crate where you can hide in or build baricdes areound Razz

More importantly: Whenever I try to manage my colonies, I have to switch between them. And the servers does ALWAYS kick me when I try to go from one colony to the next. Anyone else having this problem?

@jk: sorry to bother you, but FIX-IT! PLEASE!!!

i think i found a bug: when i go to the bank page and try to deposit say 20.000.000 minerals it only deposits 16.000.000. i take it that not supposed to happen

it happens with all deposits

Theres something out there. It's called taxes. And it is eating your resources. By the way, it is also announced on the bank page.

how about you lose the resources you spent on the units if u cancel them
(no refunds)?

some games implement it this way but the engine jk uses doesnt have this option so jk has to code it with his own hands

The game has a sort of "noob protection" built in to protect players who have just started from well established players. People inevitably leave the point range where your protected and can be attacked; i'm not sure where JK has it set for this game though.

If he left it at defaults, I would assume it's something like this: Ogame Newbie Protection

the timer just disappears after few seconds when i send them

The current owner/dev of XNova engine talked about the future release. A lot of major changes, but better things. Which means probably than the current 2009.4 version used for Zombie Complex (full of bugs) will be not only outdated, but also enough bugged to get memory leaks / security issues.

Then, and since I do not get enough time at the moment, I guess I will wait a bit before working again on it.

On the other hand, I can host the original version of the game or let ZC as it is now ^^

I'm also getting those "Internal Sever" Errors. When ever i Try to change between my colonies, i have a 90% chance to be kicked... meaning I have to wait (and try to re-login) when I want to tell Colony B what to build. I alos got an SQL error, but I didnt remember to save a copy.
Something about Colony+1 or so...

Try having 5-8 colonies and switch between them to make sure the're all working and not idly collecting ressources. I can switch between all windows in my main base, but the colonies are not responding more often then not.

Edit: Its a gamble whenever I try to login: "Connection to server was reset" (Rough Translation of what I get in German) Feels like I am the Zombie who tries to use his no longer funcioning brain Mad

The worst bug is the one preventing you from switching from one colony to the next. I can work on one perfectly fine. But the moment I select the next colony, I get kicked from the server. I'm even willing ti send you my password, so you can check it out for yourself.
