That's cool. I played Ogame for a long time, it's a great game.

I'm not entirely sure what to expect when I combine Ogame and zombies though. What's your general plan?

Is it going to be competitive in the sense that it's player vs player? If so, how would you do that. Would it be players creating zombie armies (sounds sort of lame)? I can't see marines fitting into the picture, unless it's vs AI zombies somehow. At the moment I imagine it as being a lame Ogame knock off, no offense. So please, more details! Smile

It's a simple browser game. The only graphics are 2D images. By the way, if someone is interested in making textures...Feel free to help^^ Else, to start, I might make screenshots of my own models of RC601.

i would not call it ''zombie last stand'' as it sounds so wrong/childish

imo it should be smting like

-last stand
-the final stand
-the final defense
-stand against the zombies
-(smting with zombies makes it to long/lame ;()

related to that what you said in your first post

say that in your interview.. dreams are the best to work for Smile
also you can tell them that you can work conzentrated for a long time on similar tasks (course youre working on the worldedit^^)

thats a great skill for employer
maybe it helps a bit.. when you want more hints for appication pm^^

If you need assistance with DB+PHP+Schema+locks lemme know, even though I'm a tadpole on these problems I can help.

If you're using a kit then the DB is prolly made for you, but you must know how to add new features (more DB columns/tables)

Php sucks and is slow for lots of users, but for a browser based game with not a lot of packets flying around its OK I guess.

I strongly suggest you get familiar with object oriented programming, php supports that quite well.


Lastly, get XAMPP, the ultimate dev kit for php+mysql+ distrubution ftp server. And if you get more than 1 person working on this, then code.google.com is the way to go.
