More for beginners, because I realised not all people know how to play this Chapter 3 Mission.
Linked to this thread is the replay of a game we success in containement. Not a perfect game, but since the quest was made, it's a good example on low Squad Rating containement achievement.
I Introduction
Containement is a quest where players have two things to do:
1-Fuel a Chopper with fuels.
2-Find and deploy Tactical Nukes.
II Fuel the Chopper
The game will create a Landing Zone on a random point between several possible LZs. It will be pinged.
Then aviation fuels cans will be spawned at South Airfield barracks. (The first barrack is Com Array one, the second is North from Raptors).
You have to pick one of this item per player.
Then you have to go to the Landing Zone.
When you are close to the Chopper, use the item by clicking on it. It is a long-cast/instant ability, so just wait once you clicked it.
Fuel is fulled when your distance between the marine and the Chopper is less than a radius of 400.
After all the fuels are used near chopter, you should receive 50 xp.
The amount of fuel cans depends on the number of playing players.
Remember that a unit killed with a fuel can in its inventory will not only die, but create a small explosion which will damage nearby units. So try not to make short-range unit groups when all run to the Landing Zone.
After this, if Titan TactNukes are not already dropped, spread your team accross the map to be able to find them fast.
III Tactical Nukes
Tactical Nukes are items which will be randomly spawned on the map.
You have to find those items (they will be pinged for a short duration).
Then, you have to go to the pinged Tactical Nuke dropsites.
Those sites are: Windmill, RavenHolm, Power Generator, Jefferson Airfield.
Airfield can be deployed when you are in a maximum distance from the pinged point of 900.
Windmill, Power Generator and Ravenholm can be deployed when you are in a maximum distance from the pinged point of 600.
To deploy Titan TacNukes, use them on the ground like fuel are loaded on chopper: just use the item (instant spell).
Once they are deployed, you get 50 Xp.
Since the ingame pings of the Titan TacNukes drop points and setup points have a short duration, it is necessary that one of the playing players ping them all.
Then, to recover the locations, pressing Spacebar will move the game camera to the last pinged locations.
You do not need to ping the setup locations (green game pings) because they are always the same in this chapter.
Only the Nukes drop locations are randomly spotted, so those ones (blue game pings) require a player ping.
IV Havok
Havok is the last boss of the game when you get Containement. I advice only one thing when you see it: run.
Of course you can try to smoke, flare or stun it but you will have no chance to survive.
Even if Havok is spell immune, some skills work on him when they are triggered effects (such as Flare).
He is impossible to be killed excepted if you are able to FM it a lot, to trans it 20 times or I dont know what else.
So simply avoid Havok.
He looks like a big Furlbog.
V Advices
1-This mission requires only speed of movement.
You will first need one slot for Fuel or Tactical Nukes.
2-Then you should not be carrying any heavy items.
Just take the minimal amount of ammo (3 clips should be enough).
Something to heal you is compulsory (Medkit , Fibs or Blasto).
3-A secondary weapon is really usefull. Shotgun will grants you the ability to eliminate the creeps which will be arround you without losing to much time. Grenade Launcher will be fine to, but it should be more difficult to control (since this Guide is for beginners).
4-Depending on your class, take what you think necessary, but remind your job will be to run. Try not to fight creeps like a camping mission, because you will take the risk to lure Havok.
5-Nano Body Armor will be spawned across the map. You can carry those really usefull weapons since they give you +8 armor and a good damage reduction (50 melee damage cancelled, 65 ranged cancelled if you take more than 3 damage on an attack.)
6-If you ping the locations of the TactNukes drop locations, remember that NO ONE should ping other locations which would cancel ping after ping the stored drop location: Spacebar allows you to recover the last pinged locations, but you can not choose them and the amount of stored ping is limited.
7-You also should turn off and never use the Designate ability, because this one remove ALL stored pings.
8-Do not die with Fuel cans or TitanTacNukes since this will make them unsuable and explode.
9-Do not draw the creeps running after you on other players. This means avoid other player paths, do not cross the way used by your unit and the other units.
VI Creeps Spawned
The last wave will create for Containement:
-Havok
-Tartarus
-Poppers
-Gargoyles
-Immortals
-Fast zombies
-Slashers
-If there is the skill UAV for Force Recon is available: Shredders are spawned
-If Squad Rating > 75000: 17% chances to get an invisible Havok
-If Squad Rating > 60000: 50% chances to get invisible worms
Other creeps (Zombies, Ghouls etc.) should be present since they are creeps summoned for each waves.
Creeps you did not kill from previous chapter will of course continue to run on you.
VII Conclusion
This chapter is not really hard.
They are only 2 things to do, and they are the same: Find /Active fuel cans or Find/Active Titan TactNukes.
For those, you need to remember to avoid at maximum creeps, to be a fast moving unit, and to run when you see Havok.
